Today was Mikayla's first day of Second Grade. I still think both my kids are growing up way too fast. I love watching them grow up, I just someone would slow down time so they wouldn't do it so fast. Below are my annual questions for Mikayla. I enjoy asking these as I like to see how she grows and how likes/interests change over time.

Not sure how this day got here so quickly. It seems like just last week she finished Kindergarten, and now she is starting First Grade. What they say is true, they grow up too fast. I have definitely got to get better about capturing a bit of her youth. In the meantime, here is the list of questions that I will ask her again at the end of the year:

It's hard to believe that my little girl begins kindergarten tomorrow. Sigh...Tear... I was reading some blogs on ideas for annual traditions that parents use to make the back-to-school mayhem fun. One idea that I liked was doing a fashion show with all Mikayla's new school clothes. It served a dual purpose in that I was able to have her try on all her clothes to make sure they fit and she had fun strutting herself. Next year I'm thinking more of a production. Who knows maybe by then I can get some "real" smiles out of her.
